SCOR Race Results Analysis

This week I've created a new website area that provides some graphing tools to visualise our race results. By displaying the laptimes as graphs, we can gain insight into how the events unfold, and our performance and consistancy. The results area can be found here : https://fosberry.co.uk/results/index.html

Currently threre are 2 tools, results by class, and lap times.

Results by Class

results by class

The results by class page shows the relative position of drivers after each lap, based on the cumulative lap times. It is possible to see how the positions change across the laps, and if a driver retires, on which lap. A key is provided on the right, showing the vehicle class, the driver(s) and the vehicle race number.

The graph can be filtered by class using the buttons at the top, so you can look in detail at your performance vs. your nearest rivals!

More info can be explored by using the mouse over on the graph, where the specific lap times and position can be seen :

The laptimes page shows all the laptimes for the event, plotted against each lap. This shows the relative perfromance of drivers against each other for a given lap. It is possible to see how our performance changes across the laps, and if a driver retires, on which lap. As SCOR run an 'open start line' the same lap number for different drivers can take place at very different times of the day, so condtions could have changed significantly between 2 drovers on the same lap. A key is again provided on the right, showing the vehicle class, the driver(s) and the vehicle race number.

This graph can also be filtered by class using the buttons at the top to limit the results :

Again there is a mouseover function, that shows the exact laptime for a driver on the chosen lap :

I have a few more ideas of features to add, but if you have any thoughts or requests, get it touch!
